Kristin Fisher joined CNN in 2021 when she joined CNN. She will be the Space and Defense Correspondent. In her new position, Fisher is in charge of covering all things including NASA's new Space Force to commercial space businesses and the advent space tourism. Kristin, mother of NASA astronauts as well as a space enthusiast, grew up immersed in the industry. She spent five years as the White House correspondent for FOX News covering space policy in the Biden and Trump administrations. While covering the two presidential impeachment cases, 2020's Presidential Campaign, as well as both administrations' efforts to limit the outbreak of coronavirus The reporter also covered a range of other things. Kristin traveled extensively, including both the president and vice president. She was even on a secret trip to Afghanistan together with Donald Trump. Kristin was a TV local reporter for Grand Junction, Colorado, Little Rock, Arkansas, Washington, D.C., which she won the Emmy Award for her work as the "one-man-band" reporter prior to becoming a reporter for CBS in 2015. Kristin is also a skilled filmmaker, founded Field Mouse Films, a firm that is specialized in documentary style films, with clients like Uber and Starwood Hotels & Resorts. Kristin earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Journalism from Boston University. She currently lives in Washington, D.C. with her husband and three year old daughter.
